We are looking for a skilled software engineer to join our team for a full-time remote position. Your job Assaia International AG is working on a deep learning-based system that monitors and analyses aircraft turnarounds using the incoming video streams. We were founded in February 2018 and now are working on pilot deployments in more than 30 airports in different parts of the globe, with several production rollouts upcoming. You will be working closely with a quickly growing team of data scientists and system engineers. Our short-term goal is to continue building the best turnaround monitoring software in the world, while long-term we are aiming to become the industry standard in machine learning-based solutions for aviation. This is where we rely on you! Your main responsibilities will be: Developing the core of our real-time video processing and neural network inference engine. Building APIs integrations with customers’ systems. Work closely with computer vision engineers to help them integrate new features into the system. Help to troubleshoot complex system-level issues with GPUs, Docker, networking. We are flexible and can offer a wide range of different programming-related tasks, ranging from API and integrations to applied data science. Requirements Common sense, ability to reach optimal speed/quality balance Good at: Python 3.[the higher the better], including multiprocessing, threading, asyncio Solid general programming skills, writing clean code Linux, Docker Understanding of CI/CD processes Understanding of streaming using different protocols and formats (HTTP, TCP/UDP sockets, AMQP, JSON, CBOR, etc) Optimizing i/o, profiling memory At least some experience with: Networking (TCP/IP) Flask, SQLAlchemy Any other programming languages, e.g. JavaScript, Java, C++ Would be a plus: Experience with scientific libraries: NumPy/SciPy, Pandas Experience with React/Redux Understanding of video technologies (codecs/containers/streaming) Why Assaia As an early employee, you will enjoy watching the startup grow from inside and will be able to steer the direction of the company’s development.
