We are looking for a pro-active and business-minded professional to be a Project Engineer for Fire Safety Program! Responsibilities: Ensure the right balance between Technical and Commercial parts of the project; Safeguard IKEA SCR standard requirements and concept requirements (construction part) in all phases of the project; Review and approve constructional part of the Design and As-built documentation. Check compliance with Russian norms and standards, IKEA SCR internal requirements, IKEA Group requirements. Report any deviations & descrepancies to the Project Manager & request the contractors/ consultants/ construction control companies to introduce changes as required; Coordinate design checks with external contractors or internal Engineering teams including owners; Lead quality assurance teams from external Quality Assurance contractors; Plan and analyse all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site; Take part in tender documentation preparation & evaluation of the tender results in part of the engineering works of the project; Manage, supervise and control on-site contractors performing works and provide advice to the Project manager on all issues in dedicated engineering area; Communicate and liaise effectively with Project and MEGA Administration team co-workers, contractors, architects and consultants; Take part in managing the project budgets in part of dedicated engineering area; Use computer-aided design (CAD) packages for designing sketch projects for futher works or SoW preparation; Plan, schedule and be overall responsible for material and equipment purchases and deliveries; Prepare of the time plan, update them, comply with decisions taken in the Project Board and following up on them; Report to Construction Project manager and inform in the status report concerning development of the Project (time plan, changes, risks); Responsible for compliance with the mandatory requirements of law of the Russian Federation, IKEA Group Steering documents and other internal Company’s policies, rules and manuals. Required skills and motivation: Completed higher education in construction field; Understanding of the Russian construction process; 3 years of experience in Construction field (preferred at least 3 years experience as a specialist on the site); Knowledge of construction technologies and quality control methods; Good knowledge of Fire Systems; Experience with Employer standards implementation; Good computer skills: MS Office, AutoCad; Intermediate verbal and written communication skills in English.
