One of our biggest client is looking for a Technical Construction Manager to join dynamic and challenging project in Kazakhstan. WORKING CONDITIONS: Location – Kazakhstan, East-Kazakhstan region 8:00 to 17:00, five working days per week The length of contract – 3 year (discussable) Relocation package, expat package Travel allowance and accommodation Other conditions are subject to discussion on the interview REPORTS TO: Project Manager NUMBER OF SUBORDINATES: 5 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE : Higher professional education (technical) – construction engineering or mining engineering 10 years’ experience in the field of mining construction; proven experience in shaft sinking; experience in underground mining development and construction; managing contractors in a variety of construction applications. Good working knowledge of project management and project controls; knowledge of construction methodologies, construction norms, good engineering practice and regulations valid in the Republic of Kazakhstan; thorough knowledge in execution of engineering supervision of construction works, rules of acceptance and works execution, quality control and facility commissioning; skills in work with Design and Estimate documentation; maintain high safety standards while delivering complex projects; budget control. Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Project Projects and CAD Software Preferable (optional) knowledge of English MAIN JOB DUTIES: Realization of the Project within the specified period and within the approved budget, in accordance with the approved schedule and Project Charter; solution of technical issues developing during construction and commissioning and reaching of a designed production capacity; management and coordination of all construction activities at the industrial site in accordance with general purposes and functions of the Project; ensure compliance of all works in accordance with the state standards, norms, regulations and instructions; design and implement initiatives and standards that would promote the highest level of safety, health and environmental awareness in workplace – Zero Harm; manage and execute all works in accordance with applicable contracts; develop and maintain a communication strategy with the mine and project team; lead and supervise construction teams; monitor and control cost and production of construction work activities and implement productivity improvements; role of site project representative, direct liaison with the mine; read, interpret and use construction drawings and specifications; supervise the procurement, use and storage of construction materials; manage multi-disciplinary teams.
