Mirantis Inc. are inviting an enthusiastic professional to fill in the position Revenue Accountant Key responsibilities of the Revenue Accountant include: Work with revenue recognition accounting under supervision of Revenue Manager. Participate in the worldwide monthly revenue close processes to ensure the revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s revenue recognition policies. Provide proper documentation of contractual terms and applicable technical accounting standards for all customer contracts. Collaborate with field sales, sales operations, legal and revenue operations to coordinate, complete and resolve complex issues. Perform monthly reconciliations and flux analysis on revenue and sales compensation related GL accounts. Support continuous improvements to revenue related business processes and systems. Perform proper calculation of sales related commissions, accruals and payments, sales cost amortization in accordance with ASC 606. Prepare timely and accurate management reports. Review and respond to requests/inquiries from other functional teams regarding revenue transactions. Work with the external auditor for revenue related annual audits. Includes the compilation and preparation of supporting schedules, work papers, and financial reports related to areas of responsibility. Work with external consultants on revenue recognition matters. Perform various analyses, ad hoc reports and projects as directed by the Revenue Manager. Work with the global FP&A team on the revenue forecast and related metrics. Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, MBA a plus. Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue accounting. Experience of working for an international company (preferably software) or Big4. Knowledge of US GAAP and accounting processes. Knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 605, ASC 606) Experience with ERP software (preferably NetSuite) and CRM software (preferably Salesforce). Fluent English. Competency in MS Office. Demonstrated analytical and organization skills. Accuracy, attention to detail and aptitude for numbers. Proven oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with people at different levels in the organization and from different departments. Strong work ethic, ability to adapt to rapidly-changing environments.
