The role of the supply process is to buy, produce and distribute the IKEA range at the lowest total cost, making high quality available to the customer under good social and environmental conditions. Purchase Operations Area North East Europe operates in 3 countries: Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. We have 3 offices: Moscow, Kiev and Minsk. Main business directions are solid wood and board furniture and materials; upholstery, mattresses, textiles, glass, plastic articles and plants. We have 150 employees and work with around 100 suppliers. SUSTAINABILITY COMPLIANCE AUDITOR Main Assignment: IKEA has a strong commitment to improving the environment and the everyday life for the many people, including the people who are involved in supplying our stores with home furnishing products In the transition towards a better purchasing organisation, the new position as Sustainability Compliance Auditor offers a great opportunity to further develop our environmental and social agenda through close cooperation and interaction with IKEA suppliers, IKEA business teams and other IKEA units in Russia and abroad The main purpose of the job is to audit and to improve IKEA suppliers’ sustainability compliance level, by providing constructive feedback, coaching and support to suppliers and business teams, with the aim to create excellence in our operations and 100% compliance at all times Capabilities and requirements Strong capability to organize and to work independently; Strong capability to work with and through others; Self-driven, result-oriented with a “hands on” approach to work; A good communicator, both verbal and written, assertive; Good interpersonal skills with both factory workers, directors and company owners; Honest with strong integrity; Analytical, methodical, well structured; Ability to make, present and argue judgements; Excelent time management, respect deadlines; Create motivation and inspire suppliers and purchasing teams to continuously develop and maintain high sustainability performance University degree in Social & Environmental sciences or equivalent/similar knowledge from previous experiences Good knowledge of MS Office Fluent in English Ability and willing to travel extensively Driver’s license class B and good ability to drive safe
