Please kindly note: Start date - March 2018 No Work Permit is provided for applicants POSITION PURPOSE To manage security operations on a daily basis. Areas of responsibilities include the protection and safety of property assets, employees, guests and property, accident and fire prevention and response. To ensure that all areas of the property are safe and secure. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develops and implements emergency procedures. Completes proper documentation and reports all employee accident and general liability incidents to Claims Reporting Service. Handles guest problems and complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. Maintains required reports and documentation regarding patrols of property and parking areas. Complete disciplinary procedures and documentation according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures and support the Peer Review Process. Recommends follow-up action for security breaches. Conducts investigation of all losses of property assets and refers to proper management for disposition. Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures / Foundations of Excelence. Supervises and reviews initial incident investigations and promote a timely responses for all reported incidents. Follows up on all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the well being of guests and employees. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS Attends pre- and post-convention and weekly forecast meetings to understand group needs and gather critical information to communicate to security officers. Communicates the importance of safety procedures, detailing procedure codes, ensuring employee understanding of safety codes, monitoring processes and procedures related to safety. Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example. Provides personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as co-workers, customers, or patients. Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities: Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English and Russian. Kazakh will be an advantage. Excelent knowledge of hospitality industry, structure of the Hotel itself and the order of cooperation between Hotel departments. Knowledge of internal code of conduct and staff regulations is essential. Good knowledge of policies and procedure of the Marriott International Company / Hotel brand; regulations of labor safety / health safety/ fire safety Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Most tasks are performed independently or in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision. Must possess advanced computational ability. Proven comparable law firm experience Excelent negotiation and communications skills Administrative and managerial skills Analytical ability and strong attention to detail QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education University Degree (Higher Education) is required. Experience Not less than 5 years of managerial experience in safety and loss prevention in the hospitality is required. Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott/Starwood standards.
