PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Partners with Commercialisation and R&D to understand long term innovation pipeline across Brand Refresh. Partners with Commercialisation, R&D and Operations to develop platform strategies and build supplier requirement models. Flawlessly executes reframe and refresh innovation and change within existing suppliers. Manages day to day commercial relationships of suppliers inc. contract extension negotiations Drives long term performance improvement across: Quality Cost (Inc. Productivity) Service JOB DIMENSIONS: Financial Role plays a key part in the development and commercialisation of innovation pipelines Expected to grow of spend and a NR delivery by 100% over the next 3 years Manages third party investments Drives productivity Non Financial Role is highly cross functional in nature and operates at a senior management level across categories and functions. As such will have influence over a large number of employees across peers, project team members and senior management. Engages with senior leaders (E.g. CEO, MD) of 3rd party food and beverage manufacturers DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY: Manages all day to day decision making and operational aspects of designated supply base, managing issues with peers as required. Escalates to Functional Director only when deemed appropriate. Functional Director likely to be remote to job holder. Builds and aligns 3rd party supplier strategy and negotiation approach, working closely with peers as appropriate. Final sign off via Functional Director. On a periodic basis reviews with Functional Director: Status on key projects and key milestone reviews Performance and forecast vs. AOP & KPIs Review of contract re-negotiation status EXPERIENCE/COMPENTENCIES REQUIRED: Functional Competencies/Experiences Proven results and critical experiences required in a significant number of the following areas: Must have experienced background in Manufacturing or Procurement Proven results at delivering significant business change Very strong, proven project leadership skills Deep operating knowledge of how to commercialise scale innovation Very high level of business acumen ~ must be commercially savvy and financially astute. Strong commercial negotiation skills and deep supplier management knowledge Leadership Competencies A high level of organisation savvy (both internally and externally) is a must for this role due to it’s cross functional interdependencies, interactions with senior 3rd party leads and fast paced iterative nature.
