Responsibilities: Support the Site Construction Team by providing timely and accurate progress and planning related processes, control systems and reporting. In conjunction with the Construction team, lead development and maintenance of the overall construction plan and corresponding P6 owner schedule using critical path network methods with resource allocation. Ensure use of the project WBS, schedule hierarchy, approved Project Controls procedures and P6 software to create well-structured schedule reports. Be able to analyze and manage competing priorities and milestones within the HP/LP scope. Lead and manage the HP/LP planning team Work closely with the other CEPS planning teams (Pipelines, Field facilities, Systems Completions) to ensure effective integration between scopes. Support the Field Facilities Lead Planner as required. Build effective relationships, (internal and external), with others such as other Area Planners/Analysts, Cost, Contract Advisors and Construction reps. Review and approve contractor schedules, validating activity durations, schedule logic, quantities, resource loading and other schedule parameters. Lead regular schedule review meetings with the project team and contractors Integrate contractor schedules into the owner master schedule Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the Construction team and Project Management related to progress, schedule and productivity. Maintain sight of critical path(s) in assigned areas, communicate such to the team; provide analysis where schedule or resource pressure is building; recommend possible work-arounds. Assess schedule trends and ensure Contractor correctly highlights such trends and corrective measures as necessary in periodic reports and at contractor management meetings. Review Contractor reports and ensure correct progress reporting and highlighting of significant issues/concerns. Highlight significant events or concerns for Site management attention. Prepare and issue reports and data as required to the Site Core Team or Project Central Team Perform or guide schedule risk analysis Ensure documents are organized in such a manner as others may easily reference historical data for lessons learned or IPA Project Evaluations Mentor Planning Analysts and Junior Planners and assist them in setting their goals and objectives for career growth Other duties and ad-hoc requests as directed by the management team. Planning Lead will build relationships and interface with the following functional reas within TCO: Interface with other Lead Planners and Planning Analysts to assist in schedule development, maintenance and forecasting. Interface with Progress Measurement team to ensure alignment on project reporting of schedule progress Interface with Project Engineers, Construction Superintendents and other Construction team members regarding scope of facilities, path of construction and overall construction status. Interface with AFE Owners/Delivery Managers to help manage their schedules and forecasts Interface with Cost Engineers to review cash flow forecasts and ensure alignment with schedule. Interface with Contracts and Procurement on RAS dates and commercial issues. Interface with the Document Controller to ensure the correct delivery and handling of all Scheduling related documentation Co-ordination of schedule interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction contractors, systems completion, drilling and TCO base business Requirements: Minimum 10 years Oil/Gas or Petrochemical capital projects experience, with at least 5 years onsite construction experience. Project Controls background in Planning Experience working for major International Oil Company or Engineering / Construction company Demonstrated performance in leading a team of planners Language Skills: Proficient in English PC Skills: Advanced / expert P6 user. Strong user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Attributes: Write and speak in a clear and convincing manner, using appropriate language Strong presentation skills, at all levels in the organization Work well with contractor work force and integrated project management team Self-starting behavior and ability to work independently Values developing others under supervision Conditions: Rotation Contract Provision of food and accommodation
