Mission of MEL Science We came together because we love science. Almost everyone on our team became seriously addicted to science back in childhood. Some got hooked on chemistry, and others — on mathematics and physics. When we started to raise our children, we realised that the existing level of education was very poor and wanted to give our children more. Here we are, led on by one common idea: how to pass the knowledge about science in an easy, interesting and effective way. This idea has become our mission and transformed into the corporate culture. The role Manufacturing manager will be responsible for managing operations of production of MEL Science kits (chemistry, physics, biology). The role will require the incumbent to liaise with R&D, Analytical, Quality, Project Management and Business Development functions in order to plan, resource and execute production campaigns. Main responsibilities Regularly evaluate manufacturing operations, developing, implementing recommended and/or necessary improvements and changes; Production planning (prospective and current) based on sales plans; Control over compliance with technological discipline, rules and norms on labor protection and industrial safety; Plan resources for all departments in their area of ??responsibility; Coordinate activities with R&D, QC, logistics, finance and etc.; Manage work carried out by third-party service providers; Develop goals, operating plans, production milestones, and short and long-range manufacturing objectives for the company’s projects; Establish project group structure and delegates authority to subordinates; Operational control of the production process; coordination of the work of managers of production sites; explanation of production problems and solving emerging issues; Determine the required number of employees for the implementation of short-term and long-term plans; Participate in the strategic planning effort to helps shape corporate strategy as it pertains to accomplishing company’s goals; Develop the company’s technical team through training and headcount growth, as appropriate; Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles, 5S; Maintain a safe, pleasant and efficient working environment; Qualifications/Skills Required : Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Pharma, Physics (other Natural Sciences,Technical degree); Working experience in manufacturing management; Experience in supervising of 50+ people; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to collaborate and work well in teams and independently; Experience in process development; Ability to plan projects and schedule work; Experience in scale-up/Process R&D and technical transfer; Ability to consistently work with stringent safety habits; Ability to support plant floor activities as required; Ability to mentor and train production associates; Experienced people manager with proven ability to develop talent and to achieve results through teamwork and leadership of others, streamlined execution and innovation in a matrix business unit environment; Strong leadership and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to develop constructive and effective relationships with direct reports, colleagues and senior Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate R&D project targets to management, customers and staff; Conditions What we can offer A competitive salary with real growth opportunities across all areas of operation.
