he Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing the project "Prevention Against Violent Extremism in Central Asia". National coordinator for "Prevention Against Violent Extremism in Central Asia" is responsible for: • Planning, steering and implementation of the regular planning workshops with a company and local actors and supporting in the planning and implementation of final workshop; • Planning, steering, communication and organization of the annual project activities; • Planning, organization and management of the working and coordination groups; • Developing of work packages for international and national short-term experts (internal/external); • Performs other duties as assigned. MAIN TASKS: Implementation, management and coordination of tasks: • Coordinates overall successful implementation and steering of the project ensuring the coherence between the various project components, activities and partners; • Plans and monitors the implementation of activities and achievement of milestones in accordance with the project plan, conducts regular budget revisions, proposes corrective actions/changes (including rescheduling related activities) and if required, managers support the monitoring of the expenditures by private partners; • Facilitates general project planning and if required suggests adapting the Plan of Operations according to specifics of the components ; • Identifies the content and scope for short-term assignments / consultancies / local subsidies / financing agreements within the available budget, plan, coordinates and monitors performance of the assignments and supports the activities of the commissioned local and international short-term experts • Facilitates the contact and regular communication on the project among GIZ, the private partners and further stakeholders. Coordinates a professional knowledge management on the project, including the compilation of relevant information, the knowledge transfer and transparent flow/exchange of relevant information. • Coordinating the organization/running of training measures Other / additional tasks • Setting up a monitoring and evaluation system, continuous monitoring of activities, milestones, results and indicator fulfilment. Identification of bottlenecks, challenges and change/solution needs; • Coordinates the preparation, implementation and presentation of results of the Project • Upon completion of the project, prepare a final project report. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE: • At least 3 years of professional experience in the international cooperation (e.g. GIZ) or in the private sector • Experience in technical cooperation with the ministries and regional administrations in Uzbekistan; • Topic-related working experience or in another relevant field • High negotiating competence and assertiveness in complex negotiation situations; • Experience in monitoring and evaluation; • High management competence; • Very good communication skills; • Sensitivity in cooperation with partners; • Presentation and moderation skills; • Very good knowledge of German or English languages; • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, etc.) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office, MS Excel etc.).
