Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is looking for a qualified professional to fill the position of a Project Advisor on “social services” in Eastern Ukraine, Kramatorsk for the project “Special Assistance programme to eastern Ukraine” The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. It supports the improvement of delivery structures in the social and health sector in eastern Ukraine through advisory services, capacity development, networking and maintenance of infrastructure. Therefore, we need a Project Advisor on “social services” in Eastern Ukraine to support these activities according to our corporate rules and regulations Areas of responsibilities: Managing/ coordinating an area of responsibility that forms part of the programme objectives, team agreements and/or agreements with the superior Provide professional advisory services to and cooperate with a broad range of target groups innovation and knowledge management Coordinates and monitors the development and implementation of project plans and activities in close consultation with local counterparts within the region (for example: local authorities, NGOs, training institutes and international organizations) and implementing partners. contributes to preparing and implementing the coordination process, joint project activities and work at the regional level deals with the design, preparation and implementation of workshops, seminars and other events on issues connected with the project area of activity develops and organises quality assurance measures and suggests necessary changes, improvements and initiatives communicates local interests and efforts, forwards these and encourages sharing ideas and information for the benefit of the project/programme cooperates with national and international experts ensures knowledge management collects, processes and distributes relevant information, monitors communication and interaction between government institutions, NGOs and society through analyses of the media, direct dialogue, participation in meetings and seminars etc. ensures knowledge transfer to project/programme information develops ready-to-use strategies and technical concepts, including guidelines, manuals and procedures draws up reports and presentation documents coordinates relevant project activities at local level in consultation with the project director and in cooperation with the partners, both as regards implementation and preparing organisational aspects compiles the relevant information for joint activities and assignments Required qualifications, experience and competences masters/MSc in an area that is related to the project/programme objectives, with a focus on a relevant field (such social services, decentralization, policy reforms or any similar field) at least 5 years’ professional experience in a relevant position experiences either in the fields of social services, decentralization, policy reforms, public sector or in management of project in any other field very good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office) fluent written and oral knowledge Russian or Ukrainian and a working knowledge of English or German willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management The assignment starts as soon as possible.
