Finance&Accounting Manager (relocation to Amsterdam) Role and responsibility To strengthen the Finance Team of the Dutch office in Amsterdam the Company wishes to appoint a Finance & Accounting Manager who will be responsible for: Accounting and controlling of group companies in various jurisdictions outside of the Russian Federation Annual reporting under Dutch GAAP/ IFRS for such group companies Tax compliance and advisory, in liaison with the company’s tax counsel Audit, in liaison with the company’s external auditor In this role the Finance & Accounting Manager will act as an interface between the relevant internal departments (IFRS, Tax, Treasury) at X5’s corporate center in Moscow, the legal team in the Dutch office, and the external auditor and tax counsel. As such, the position has important coordinating and logistical characteristics in the functional disciplines accounting/controlling, tax advisory & compliance (corporate income tax, wage tax and VAT) and treasury, and requires an in-depth understanding of each of these disciplines. Furthermore, the Finance & Accounting Manager will be responsible for day-to-day administrative affairs, including but not limited to: Preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end closings Supporting the preparation of the annual reports, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements Participating in internal and external audits of standalone financial statements Preparing VAT reporting/ returns Working closely with the (group) IFRS team on ad hoc projects Taking responsibility for various administrative and other additional tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements The position naturally involves frequent external contacts with the business counterparts in the Netherlands and abroad, as well as with the relevant internal departments headquartered in Moscow. Required skills & experience At least Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting Post graduate experience of at least 3 to 5 years in accounting or audit IFRS / Dutch GAAP experience Fluent in Russian – written and spoken Team player with strong communication skills Able to prioritize in order to meet due dates and deadlines Recommended: ‘Big 4’ experience, ERP SAP System experience
