School Details At HeadStart we aim to stimulate students’ minds, as well as to encourage them to push beyond perceived traditional academic boundaries. It is our intention that through employing dedicated, enthusiastic and inspiring teachers, we will enthuse all our students to reach their potential and exceed expectations. We deliver a well-rounded personalised educational experience. We pride ourselves in being a community school, emphasising individual learning. HeadStart is based in the centre of Phuket Island and gained ‘International School’ status in 2010 and is a fully accredited International School with The Education Development Trust. In our most recent inspection, we were awarded the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) with accreditors recognising the school to be a ‘Good School with Outstanding Features’. Our curriculum is based on the national curriculum of England and we offer Cambridge & Pearson qualifications in Secondary including IGCSEs, A Levels and BTECs. The school's main campus at Chaofah has 960 students on roll and is oversubscribed in most year groups. In August 2023 we opened a new campus in the north of the island in Cherngtalay. This is a single form entry Foundation and Primary school for up to 200 students. In August 2024 the school will expand to become a two form entry school from Preschool to Year 9. Russian Teachers (Cherngtalay Campus) Lower Primary (KS1) Russian Teacher Upper Primary (KS2) and Secondary (KS3) Russian Teacher We are looking to appoint motivated and enthusiastic Russian teachers for a start in August 2024. The successful candidates will have experience in teaching across Primary, and Primary and Secondary age range. They should be inspiring teachers who can bring the subject alive. Essential Requirements: Good knowledge of the UK curriculum and experience of teaching within the UK or in an international school setting Experience of teaching students in Primary (position 1), and Primary and Secondary (position 2) Experience teaching Russian as a native language (including literature) to Primary and/or Secondary pupils. Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university A recognised teaching qualification: BEd.; PGCE; iPGCE or equivalent Must be a fluent English speaker Desirable Requirements (not essential): Previous experience in an International School environment Some experience of teaching Russian as a foreign or second language would be a plus Remuneration Package: (Full details of salary package and terms and conditions will be sent to short-listed candidates) Private medical insurance 2 year renewable contract Free lunch and beverages during the school day Additional payment for extracurricular activities Significant end of contract bonuses.
