This position is within the Building Construction Products group. The Building Construction Products (BCP) division team is comprised of more than 7,000 employees—from assemblers and accountants to marketing professionals and engineers—we work in factories, warehouses, and offices all over the world. We are responsible for the design, manufacturing, marketing, and support of Caterpillar’s line of small, versatile construction machines and attachments for the commercial construction, residential construction, specialty trades, landscaping, and agriculture industries. Products include small wheel loaders, compact wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, mini hydraulic excavators, skid steer loaders, telehandlers, and small track-type tractors. JOB SUMMARY As a Building Construction Products (BCP) Representative / Industry Representative you will consult with dealers to market Caterpillar products and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability within Eurasia Region. Key accountabilities include machine, work tools and parts sales forecast, as well as development and implementation of local marketing strategies. Assist Cat Dealers in developing and implementing customer solutions including marketing plans, sales coverage, merchandising programs, product value needs and pricing issues. Key enabler of this position is to grow product & services sales through increased participation in business opportunities. This will result in a higher product population and downstream future revenue sales and profitability. This position includes the understanding of various profit streams and generating profit throughout the customer and product lifecycle. The position leads product problem management, develops dealer post-sale customer contact strategy, and manages warranty/goodwill administration. Regularly interface with dealers and customers to minimize the commercial impact of customer complaints, ensuring customers receive fair-value and promoting additional customer touch points and future sales. Focus on complaint velocity and problem resolution in all work streams. Industry Sales & Service Rep, along with their manager, will direct their development and continual learning through experience and staying abreast of technology changes. Key learning comes from continued experience in the assigned industry, enhancing communication and people relationship skills, improving problem solving and analysis ability, building and using business skills, enhancing use of Caterpillar systems, and developing leadership abilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Contributing to the identification, analysis, and resolution of needs and problems in assigned industry. Performing complex analysis work, identifies and resolves problems that are less tactical and more strategic in nature. Developing and meeting expectations in delivering results Considering and recommending alternative courses of actions Making timely decisions and developing greater communication skills Working directly with other Caterpillar units, customers, and possibly suppliers Responsible for “selling the house” (integrated solutions). Meet/Exceed Business Plan Sales and Market Share targets for all machines, work tools and Customer Value Agreements at points of sale in the assigned territory. Accountable for the merchandising support budget for the assigned territory. Supporting dealers developing short term and long-term strategies to provide a strong value proposition for retail customers. Assisting dealers on demand and supply management targeting to have optimal pipeline on ground to achieve business goals. Supporting dealers in tender business by recommending the right combination of products & services fitting to the requirements and managing the pipeline to meet the deadlines. Supporting dealer and Caterpillar marketing teams to deliver tailor made campaigns to acquire new customers with low cost. Supporting Retail strategy in region. Being a champion of safety in region Mentoring minimum 2 local candidates to create and support the future pipeline. Strong understanding of market regulations and certification process in region. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: University degree in Sales & Marketing and/or Engineering or equivalent experience. Proven experience in market regulations and certification process in region. 3 to 5 years prior experience in field assignments. Proven ability to work independently and to communicate effectively with others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers. The work environment requires ability to work on increasingly more complex assignments and provide direction to lower-level reps on project assignments. Excellent communication in English & Russian Knowledge of Caterpillar products, construction industry, merchandising programs, and warranty practices and procedures. Current & proven track record of success in a (Internal or external) field representative role in construction equipment industry. Demonstrated ability to be a team player. Must be willing to travel extensively (50%) within Eurasia Region. Experience in Retail development and Second Level Dealer Network would be an asset. Relocation is not offered. Top Candidates Will Also Have: Demonstrated ability to adapt change, creating & leading tactics matching market needs. Experience in creating roadmaps with dealers to achieve sustainable growth. Understanding of local customer trends / market needs and ability to provide supporting business cases for future product offerings. Additional Information:
