BostonGene is a pioneer company that uses biomedical software to identify new and personalized treatment options with next-generation multi-platform analytics, improving and optimizing cancer patient outcomes. We develop a distributed information and analytical system that provides oncologists with the necessary data for diagnosis and personalized treatment of patients. We recently moved our Moscow office (400+ employees) to Yerevan and are looking for candidates to work from Armenia. We are currently seeking a Software Engineering Manager with strong engineering expertise to take lead over our core product team (30+ members). Responsibilities: — Collaborate with users and customers to understand their needs and define project scope, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring value for money; — Develop and implement effective business processes within software engineering teams surrounding our product to drive growth and success; — Establish and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product based on the company's strategy; — Unite team leaders into a cohesive team, fostering teamwork and facilitating communication across departments; — Define the purpose of the product and communicate it effectively to teams; — Support the development of formal and informal leaders within teams; — Lead the technical development of our product, coordinating multiple teams and guiding the implementation of a distributed information analytical system; — Define the target technical state of the product and create a roadmap for its successful development; — Manage projects with multi-quarter timelines, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource allocation; — Proactively address technical challenges that may hinder business objectives. Requirements: Experience in creating highly reliable and scalable distributed systems; Awareness of various system design patterns; A rational approach to technical solutions, the ability to intelligently discuss options and choose the best; Experience in infrastructure, cluster and scaling management (AWS, Docker); Degree in Computer Science or related degree; More than 6 years of experience in software development using Java; Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes for container organization and deployment; Understanding the principles of OOP and functional programming; We offer: Relocation for candidates (and their immediate family members) to Armenia Full documentation and bureaucracy support on-site (bank accounts, residence permit, etc.) Full-time position, permanent contract, flexible working hours On-site lunches in the office in the center of Yerevan Competitive salary and medical insurance (with special plans for family members) Corporate plans for English language lessons and gym
