New Clinic for Plastic Surgery is looking for a Plastic Surgeon Responsibilities: ? Conducting consultations with patients and recommending the best treatment ? Performing tests before surgery ? Providing follow-up care for the patient after surgery ? Referring patients to other specialist, such as physical therapists, to complete their recovery. ? Performing some administrative tasks, including updating the medical records of patients. ? Meeting with patients, taking their histories, and examining their files in order to provide them with the best surgical options. ? Outlining all the risks and benefits associated with the surgery prior to the procedure. ? Performing consultations with patients who suffer from birth defects, injuries, burn wounds, or those who want to enhance their physical appearance. ? Preparing patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures. ? Prescribing medication like painkillers, antibiotics, and providing aftercare advice to patients. ? Scheduling follow-ups to remove stitches, inspect incisions, and monitor the patients’ healing. ? Handling various administrative duties like updating patient records and clinic policies. ? Assign tasks to interns and evaluate performances regularly ? A well-defined sense of diplomacy, conflict resolution, and people management skills. ? Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment. ? Strong morals and ethics. ? Ensure patients privacy and security. ? Detail-oriented, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. ? Strong ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations & making decisions. ? Ability to deal with internal & external customers of diverse social backgrounds with patience, tact & diplomacy to defuse anger and resolve conflict. ? Experience with computerized system and general computer skills. Qualification Requirements: ? PHD and Master’ degree ? License holder ? Complete at least six years of surgical training following medical school with a minimum of three years of plastic surgery residency training. ? Work experience minimum of 10-15 years. ? Strong knowledge of innovation in dermatology procedures. ? Additional courses and training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. ? Years of practical experience in surgery. ? Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. ? A sound understanding of patient aftercare and wound management. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ? Attention to detail and impeccable bedside manner. ? Pass comprehensive oral and written exams ? Graduate from an accredited medical school ? Complete continuing medical education, including patient safety each year ? Perform surgery in accredited, state-licensed or Medicare-certified surgical facilities. ? Adhere to a strict Code of Ethics ? Detailed oriented ? Strong communication skills in all Reading, writing & oral proficiency in the English language. ? Strong knowledge of numeracy and statistics. ? Excellent analytical and organization skills. ? Superior literacy in computer use. ? Patient and sensitive with children. Terms: ? The contract will be governed by the Laws of the Sultanate of Oman Labor Law. ? Passing the dataflow, Prometric and Viva exam required by Oman Ministry of Health. ? You will be on probation for the first three months of your employment. ? You will both reporting to Muscat and Sohar Clinics, you may from time to time be required to work elsewhere in the Sultanate of Oman. ?
