Doumo is a product team with a strong engineering culture. We build a SaaS platform - all-in-one tool that helps our clients develop their businesses around the world. Our platform allows small and medium-sized businesses dealing with taxes, finance and accounting, to automate workflows. Using our platform, companies can manage internal tasks, as well as communicate with their customers, exchanging messages and documents, invoicing and accepting payments. Thousands of accounting firms in the US, Canada and EU are our clients, with more than 1,000,000 active users in different countries all over the world Our platform is implemented in web, desktop and mobile versions, which allows you to use it on any device. Last year, we have grown 4 times and for the further development of projects we will be happy to invite technical writer to our team. Responsibilities: Write user documentation in English, in a simple and straightforward language. To create articles, guides and other content for the Academy — an internal resource where our clients can be trained to work with the product. These are full-fledged courses with video-lessons and quizzes, which are localized into 8 languages. Complement and expand Help page of our platform. Understand the product with a large number of features, digging into features. Communicate with developers and vendors, if something is unclear in a feature. Tweak your writing style to match the existing style, recognizing that it's always better to copy/paste from existing articles rather than reinvent the wheel for each new article. Be prepared to take responsibility for keeping up-to-date documentation in the area for which you are responsible. Micromanagement is not welcome, but initiative and autonomy are. Our expectations of the candidate: Experience of writing articles, or experience of writing technical documentation, user documentation from 1 year . Understanding of how text in documentation differs from copywriting. Advanced written English. Systematic thinking, the ability to "break down" complex things and explain them in simple language. A basic knowledge of HTML. Understanding of Docs as Code philosophy and willingness to apply it. Experience with video editors will be a plus (but not required). Portfolio.
