What we are looking for: We are recruiting on an exclusive basis for a DevOps Engineer to join our development team. OpenWeatherhas already established relations with more than 4 million customers and we are now looking for a colleague who will be able to Responsibilities: Participate in troubleshoot of platform issues and outages Ensure platform security through access controls, backups and firewalls configuration Maintain and extend centralised internal user authentication infrastructure Build process to continuously monitor platform security vulnerabilities and apply relevant patches to software Improve current software and hardware monitoring system and set up pager duty and incident management process based on monitoring data Streamline and automate process of new servers rollout using IaC and automation tools Analyse current software and hardware resources utilised within the company and develop steps to improve and optimise them Work closely with development team within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently Assist development team in setting up CI/CD process and writing IaC code for their components rollout Mentor and train developers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide Optimise software network and server performance at Linux kernel configuration level Essential skills: Ability to automate routine administration processes Experience managing infrastructure as code (IaC) Basic or slightly above knowledge in our stack of programming languages Knowledge of CI/CD systems 3+ years of Linux administration experience Good understanding of Linux systems Good knowledge of TCP/IP stack Ability to optimise the configuration of the Linux kernel to increase the throughput of the network module Understanding of protection against hacking and penetration Skills in organising a monitoring system High load experience Technology and products that we are working with : Ubuntu, CentOS Ansible, Terraform FreeIPA Zabbix Docker, Docker Swarm Consul, Vault, Nomad Hadoop Nginx RabbitMQ MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, InfluxDB StatsD, Grafana, Sentry Elasticsearch, Kibana Git, Gitlab, Gitlab CI Python, Node.js, Golang, PHP Would be a benefit: Kubernetes Kafka Soft skills: Our company is developing fast so, if this sounds like a place you would like to work in future, please keep our details as we always encourage applications from talented and driven people.
