Specialist in Medical Education for Management of Advanced Medical Technology in Uzbekistan project is responsible for: RESPONSIBILITIES • providing support and advise to the component manager in planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting • provides technical advice and guidance to MoH, partner institution(s) • jointly with partners preparing, implementing and documenting training events, workshops, forums, team meetings and other project activities • drawing up reports and presentation documents in Uzbek, Russian and English language based on global and international evidence­ based policies and strategies • assisting with implementation activities and studies on project related topics • implementing daily operational aspects of all issues related to the Project • processing technical aspects and further developing the area of responsibility in accordance with the specified quality standards • maintaining a good flow of communication and information between all involved institutions and counterparts and GIZ • Proven ability to identify needs, in concept and strategy development in curricula and trainings for medical and nursing students in the application and use of advanced medical technologies; • Identification of needs for external support and advice in improving the education, study, and training of medical and nursing students in the application and use of advanced medical technologies; • Experience in advising public institutions • Very good knowledge of the health sector in UZB • Knowledge of Gender mainstreaming REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE Qualifications • University degree (Bachelor in medicine or equivalent; Master/MSc or dictorate in medicine, medical education, social science with focus on public health or equivalent) Professional experience • 8 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position; • 8 years of professional experience in working for international donor organization(s) in health sector; • 8 years of professional experience in collaboration with Uzbek MoH and other governmental institutions • Very good knowledge of the health (education) sector in Uzbekistan • Experience in advising and supporting MoH and other partner institutions • good managerial, organisational competence and negotiation skills • Strong managerial, organisational competence and negotiation skills • High motivation and ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of outputs • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of partners in the health sector • Interest and ability to flexibly learn and adapt to new concepts Other knowledge, additional competencies • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office), online tools • Very good knowledge of English, Russian and Uzbek Candidate who meet the requirements can send CV and Motivation letter via this website or submit to the GIZ office: 7a, Chimkentskaya street, Mirabad district, 100029, Tashkent, in sealed envelope no later than December 29, 2021.
