Valmet is the leading global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries. Valmet is a leader in the Pulp and Paper Industry globally with over 13,000 professional personnel. We are looking for the best talent who want to be part of our Automation division to move our customers performance forward. Now we are strengthening CIS Operations team with a new Project Engineer. Main Accountabilities: Project Engineer provides DCS-based application design, testing and delivered systems development, being an engineer’s team member. Capable of elicitation and interpretation of functional requirements and basic data to produce appropriate software applications design (ValmetDNA platform), their testing and commissioning. The role is in Pulp & Paper sector. Role description: Acting as a part of Project manager team Participate in project teams and all activities related to the systems development Involvement throughout systems lifecycle from application design, factory acceptance testing through to commissioning on Customer site Complete task assignments within established schedules Monitor own progress against schedule Provide input to others as requested concerning their project needs Understand the quality requirements for projects and the risks identification Reports to Engineering manager as well as to lead engineer and project manager when it comes to certain project. Qualifications At least 3-5 years of professional experience on similar role A solid background in process or automation control, with advanced knowledge of DCS (or SCADA) systems Good knowledge in general process control system architecture Understanding of the fundamental principles of process dynamics and feedback control within Pulp&Paper plants with continuous operations Ability to build and tune standalone, simple cascade PID loops as well as multi-level cascade structures and sequential programs Ability to troubleshoot control loop and automated sequence logic using engineering and analyzing tools to identify and resolve problems (e.g. poor tuning, instrument failure, etc.) Ability to excel with minimal supervision in a team environment Willingness to travel and work away when required Confident English speaking and writing skills Personal qualifications Good client facing skills Capable of communicating at both team and management levels, including confidently presenting/leading technical discussions Confident and able to work under own initiative Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines Excellent organizational and communication skills Flexible in working methods and hours Experience giving advantage Experience in Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up of process units Familiar with ValmetDNA platform Experience in Quality Control Systems (QCS), especially, Valmet ones Experience/understanding of scripting languages such as Python, VBA Network architecture and IT infrastructure design and configuration for control systems Vibration based condition monitoring experience We offer Competitive salary with the permanent contract Benefits package in accordance with Company policies We accept applications till September 12, 2021.
