Duties/Responsibilities: Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks. Inspects all Vanderlande sites (Warehouse, Airports, Parcel) on a quarterly basis Verifies that journals at all sites (Warehouse, Airports, Parcel) are kept in full accordance with legislation and are up to date at any time. Discusses outcome of quarterly visits with the Vanderlande HSE responsible at the site and makes a short report on the findings and recommendations for improvement that is signed by both the HSE manager and the HSE site responsible. Discusses outcome of quarterly visits to Vanderlande sites at least twice per year with the HSE responsible from the clients. A summary of the outcome of this conversation will be sent to the client afterwards. Makes sure that all staff at Vanderlande sites (Warehouse, Airports, Parcel) receive the required by law HSE trainings and medical examinations in time. Auditing and monthly KPI reporting Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections. Ensures working practices are safe and comply with legislation; Ensures that employer and workers comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to/ ensure that staff follow procedures; Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics. Monitors compliance with safety procedures. Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings. Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed. Advises on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and working at height; Maintains records of discharge of employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required. Ensures equipment is installed safely; Attends occupational safety and health seminars to update job knowledge and enhances their skills; Prevents and investigates health and safety incidents and accidents. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. A in depth understanding and knowledge of Russian safety legislations. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Environmental Safety or a technical field Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Masters degree desirable. Five years of related experience preferred. NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent). Excellent English Practical experience with working on project sites, e.g. lifting ops / work at height / moving machinery / electrical works etc. Willingness to travel within Russia and CIS (up to 30% of the time) Passion for HSE, setting high standards and giving a good example. Creating (and following up on) solid reporting on accidents/incidents and hazards. Auditing, monthly KPI reporting. Communicating effortlessly with different levels in (and outside of) the organization. Not being afraid to challenge the status quo.
