This position is remote work and is open to anywhere in the world. This is a highly competitive position, we require a 90 minute skills test and video questionnaire PRIOR to being selected for an interview. We are a fun place to work, this is the job you want. A psychology focused startup company is looking for a Illustrator : a person that knows around a digitizer, brush, paper, and pen. You will be creating mainly three types of work. The first is comics; you’ll work in conjunction with our comic developer and copywriters. The second is fine art illustrations to accompany books, articles, blogs and other digital print and online publications we make. The third is illustrations designed for social media posts. We need someone with a unique gift for talking about dark subjects that connect with real emotions. When people are struggling with depression, anxiety, apathy, loneliness, loss, and other complex emotions they want to know they are understood. Can you use your art to connect? Our Illustrator is perceptive and quick-witted. They know their assets well, and are familiar with their strengths and weaknesses as they compare to the competition. This role requires not only creativity but organization and the willingness to see the job done. This role is multicultural, so they need to be conversational in English (B2), and Russian (C1). Requirements Ability to draw conceptual sketch for idea pitches and presentations Ability to execute complex fine art pieces Ability to create comic style illustrations is several styles, we want you to have several “voices” or “styles” that express you. Extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop Extensive experience with digitizer pads Time management and organizational skills Optional Physical art medium experience Graphic design experience Experience with Adobe Fresco You will be required to submit a portfolio to be considered for this position.
