KAZ Minerals Russia is looking for potential candidates for the position of Earthworks Superintendent . Structural Division: Pioneer Works Section / Construction Department Reports to: Site Manager REQUIREMENTS: Higher engineering education; Minimum of 10-15 years of experience on large capital projects, infrastructure, mining etc.; Experience in the various phases of mining project implementation more specifically in construction; Experience of large civil earthwork projects or heavy infrastructure projects, mining process facilities, roads etc.; Work experience in cold weather region between -20 down to - 50 C; International and/or multicultural experience; Knowledge of English and industry-specific terminology is desirable; Computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project) Acrobat, Google Earth, AutoCAD (DWG Viewer). RESPONSIBILITIES: To Liaise, Coordinate and Communicate with contractors for smooth execution of the works; To provide day to day oversight and direction to the contractor personnel assigned to on-site earthworks; To be responsible for protecting and promoting the interests and values of the company and to take actions as required to satisfy responsibilities; To provide resolutions in executing the works on the basis of knowledge and experience; Ensure Work permits, JSA and DSTI is in place before the start of work; Ensure contractors conduct Tool box talks before start of works; Execute project activities confirming to approved drawings project specifications and standards as required to meet day-to-day and overall objectives; Become familiar with general condition of the site and follow the direction of the Site Management with regard to performing work; Ensure contractors comply with the Project schedule and the resources are mobilized to the designated areas; To support the Drill and Blast contractor and assist in on site delivery of material and equipment’s; Ensure notification for blasting is issued to all concerned departments including third party agencies 24 hours’ prior to blasting; Ensure all safety precautions are in place before blasting; Excavation, segregating and stockpiling of topsoil, mineral soil and rocks according to their characteristics; Crushing of rocks, segregating and stockpiling of rocks confirming to their size detailed in drawings; Backfilling of the areas confirming to specification, standard and approved drawings; Coordination and Liaison with various agencies in ensuring Compaction tests are carried out in timely manner; Ensure equipment maintenance are done confirming to vendor recommendations; Ensure each stage of work is documented and approved; Develop final punch lists and ensure all project tasks are completed.
